Gotland The Gotland sheep is a modern day descendent of the primitive Goth sheep first introduced to the Swedish island of Gotland by the Vikings. The fleece is fine and lustrous and is available in many shades of silver grey.
For felting: It is excellent for feltmaking, particularly for sculptural pieces or for items that need to be hardwearing such as slippers or bags. It felts quickly and easily to a fine, smooth finish and hardens so well that even two layers of laid out fleece will hold its form in 3D when felted.
