hebridean sheep

Hebridean
The Hebridean belongs to the Northern short-tailed group of breeds brought over from Scandinavia by the Vikings. It is a striking sheep with a dark fleece, amber eyes and multiple horns. Once common throughout Scotland it is now on the Rare Breed Survival Trust’s ‘watchlist’.

For felting:
This long stapled fleece is very useful for creating texture, especially when used in combination with Bluefaced Leicester.
